Richard Gutierrez, undeniably GMA’s most prized talent, lends his star
appeal to “Signos: Banta ng Nagbabagong Klima,” a documentary special on global warming and its effect on the Philippines produced by GMA News and Public Affairs.
Richard, an active environmentalist and Greenpeace advocate, will narrate the documentary and appear in short segments where he imparts very practical tips on how to lessen the effects of global warming.

Researching about climate is like being a third grade kid who wants to learn trigonometry. What you have to do is read, read, read, scribble a lot, stare at empty spaces, and wait for blood to come out of your forehead, as you wipe the blood running from your nose.
As journalists, it excites us to do something worthwhile. It is that excitement that leads us to believe that we can overcome, learn and face everything thrown at us all for the sake of doing something of global or national importance.
When Ms. Joy Madrigal, our program manager, offered me the researcher slot in a climate change documentary, the way she said “climate change” in her usual enthusiastic tone sounded so noble, majestic, and “worthwhile.” Continue reading ‘Mastering climate change’
