I find the word's ethicks and Philippines,a oxiemoron. They do not go together. A judge gets a salerie but requires 10,500 peso more to do his job and if he dont get it he dont work.
Law makers and people in goverment steeling millions of Peso but because the judge they payed off says it was not there intent to steel we should let them go. What is there intent to build a road that go no where and then duble charge for it. not to serve the people. How much money stolen from the people is enough, what magic number is enough that they can do there jobs withsout stealing, and a endless list of miss deeds.
Pre di na kaya I adopt and systema ng UAE para sa Pinas. Unang una. Si Bribary pa lang problema na. Pangalawa, out of control na and pag release ng mga cards.

    Hello,

It is nice to have a blog on complaints on cellphone charges. I am complaining thru you on about the charges on "Smart Buddy" locators using the wis finder. The charge is only P5/locate, but I was charged P15, because their reply was in three (3) subsequent notices, including a KFC promotional insert. I hope this would be checked by the NTC. Thank you very much.

I guess we operate in the free market environment where competition is encouraged. Wiser consumers will also pressure service providers to be cautious on the service they give.

Consumers are expected to review the terms before they avail of any service and decline those that they don't like.

However, NTC intervenes when consumers complaint such as interruption of services continuously without any adjustment offer. That is why such provision is now in this order.

What you suggest for NTC to come up with is a good idea. I hope that a university or research group will also take an interest so consumers can be shown a variety of perspective.

The good thing today is that there are blogs now that can serve as a venue to vent consumer concerns should we be badly neglected. It is unlikely that very bad service will go unknown and this puts a lot of pressure to service providers today.

"Right not be charge. A subscriber can only be charged according to the rates, terms, and conditions he or she has agreed to. A consumer can not be charge for the time being during which a continuing or continuous service was interrupted through no fault of the subscriber." (Ref.Filing an NTC Complaints... dated 15 July 2008,Janet Toral.)

The above paragraph is part of the Memo
Cir 05-06-2007 publish by NTC. The terms ( rates, terms and condition that a consumer agreed to) is one sided because its the service provider who set the condition and not the NTC.

Does the consumer has any choice? yes perhaps in terms of choosing lesser evil Service provider but not in the quality of the service provided.

May i suggest that the NTC must be the one to set the terms, condition and rates (variable base on the quality of service provided example, VIP, FIRST CLASS, private, etc. whatever you call it) base on fair practices. In which case, both the Service provider and consumer will be benefitted fairly, justly and appropriately.

    Greetings,
Its about time the NTC look into the bad practices of Philippines mobile Service Provider.

1. Stop the compulsary usage of prepaid card for a given period. Harap-harapang panghoholdap ito sa mga user.
2. Stop the Service provider from disallowing call and tx messages at minimun load. Hayaan sanang ma-consume namin lahat ang load namin bago matigil ang services.
3. Stop sending unsolicited messages except for update for better services.
4. Stop CHARGING BALANCE INQUIRY. The Service provider must display your balance everytime you end succesful call and after succesfull sms or any data sending.
5. Stop the Service provider for CHARGING MISS CALL AND FAILED SMS OR ANY DATA FAILED SEND.
6. ESTABLISHED A SYSTEM HOW THE USER CAN BE PROTECTED AND CHARGE THE SERVICE PROVIDER AND THE USER FOR ANY FAILURE, ILLEGAL PRACTICES AND ABUSES.

THANK YOU.
