CLEVELAND, Ohio - Nothing beats playing as a team!
This is the bitter lesson that the mighty Lebron James discovered when the San Antonio Spurs scorched the Cleveland Cavaliers in Games 1 & 2 of the 2007 NBA finals. How else can you beat a team led by a no-nonsense coach in Gregg Popovich, that plays tough on both ends of the floor. Nahilo nga si Lebron sa mga ibat-ibang looks na ibinibigay sa kanya ng Spurs sa depensa. In the first two games Popovich gave Bruce Bowen the task of stopping the prolific James, but Bowen wasn’t alone. Pop designed a defensive scheme that switches Bowen quickly with Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli, Fabricio Oberto and Michael Finley in tailing Lebron. Sa kabila naman, the Cavs, regarded as the 3rd best defensive team in the NBA still has to find the antidote against the "three kings" namely Tony Parker, Ginobli and Duncan, who connived to score 88 of the 103 points of the Spurs in Game 2. With the series moving to Cleveland for the next three games, would Lebron finally get the help he needs from the rest of the Cavs? What do you guys think? oo nga nakakaawa c james... we cant blame spurs sa depensa kasi siya ang leader sa cavs kaso problema naman sa cavs wala sila pantapat na dipensa sa big three... tsk tsk... dbale ang bola bilog series is not yet done they have a chance to win the series if they work and play one another more than the spurs... 4-1 yan!!! A lot of sports analysts virtually eliminated the Cavs from the East Finals matapos silang ma-down ng 2-0 against the Pistons. I think Cavs can still do it but
they need 3 things: (1)Limit Parker to less than 15. Eric Snow should resurrect against Parker in game 3. (2)Ilgauskas should put Duncan to work on the defensive end. (3) More production from Hughes, only 2 pts in 2 games. I think, the Spurs are far too experienced for the Cavs. The spurs are making James get the ball in angles or spots he isn't comfortable with. Also when he brings down the ball from the back court, it forces James to play a 1 on 1 basketball. This leaves the Cavs with hardly any offense to work with.
Regarding defense, I think it's the coaching staff that is experiencing troubles with the player rotation Pop is using. They have to take care of three main threats, which, mind you are all playing extremely well, now add some scoring here and there by Horry, Barry and Finley. whatever happens in d finals d cavaliers must be happy just being there slugging it out with d spurs.after all who wld ever thought that they will reach this far.no one.u have to give it to them.clearly they r d underdogs.but dont count them out.it aint over till it's over.

Remember both Spurs and the Cavs are 7-1 in their home turf in the Playoffs. The Cavs are not dead. If the Spurs win at least a game at the Q, it's over.
I will root for the Cavs and it's better to have a new champs in the NBA. With the way things are going, it's going to be an uphill climb for the Cavs to bounce back in the series, and I doubt it if they could do that. The most they can probably do is a 1-game win, but odds are they'll be swept very easily by the mighty Spurs.
No questions asked its a no-match series, probably one of the least exciting NBA Finals in years. my thoughts in spurs-cavs series,
the cavs are not playing well this series in texas, now at ohio, this game 3 must be a deciding game for cavs, the pressure and emotions are high, now the question is they can duplicate what was happened in pistons-cavs series, Gooden, Big Z and hughes should make the perimeter shots, this will be a factor here, only Gibson though played very well this series, pavlovic was bothered by a physical defense on him by spurs, and Lebron should penetrate more and make shots in the paint, dont settle for the jump shot, but spurs is different from pistons, pls remember HOF Bill Russell words of wisdom for you LBJ, and his airness MJ praises you LBJ, 7 years in the making before MJ landed in NBA finals, now U Leap, Be Consistent, LBJ just 4 years you been here in NBA finals, chino and quinito you make us proud here in USA -Great job for broadcasting this series live for filipino people- Good luck to RP basketball team tingnan na lang natin kung anong mangyayari sa Game 3. SPURS... sa dirty defense ni HOrry at Bowen lang medyo may sparks ng kunti... sana makabawi ang CAVS.. any input on how "MARSHMALLOW" is NBA in giving penalty to drty tactics of Bowen and flagrant foul of Horry to Nash? Spurs in 5. They'll probably drop game 3 due to Cav's sheer emotion but Tim, Tony and Manu will be quick to adjust on the 4th and just sweep the floor come game 5.
Lebron is good but he needs team support and a strong pillar in the likes of Fisher or Horry. THe Cav's still can't believe they're in the finals and that's what will kill them. They don't believe it's their time yet. Cav will have a hard time to get even 1 win against Spurs if Spurs play like they did in Game 2.
If Cavs can play physical on Parker and Manu. Like Hard fouls and putting body on them on every move. It might change Parker or Manu's game. On the other hand, Duncan must be put into a defensive by either Gooden or IG. Even if they have less then 50% SA against Duncan, at least they put him into work, that may limit his production. Hughes should penetrate and attack the defence of Parker. Gibson should rain his threes. I dont think there is any player in CAvs even Lebron can stop Manu when he is having his game. For the Spurs to win, they just have to be themselves and play like they always play. That makes them boring... Hi Chino,
Malakas talagang ang SPURS kesa sa CAVS pero malay natin sa game 3 kasi homecourt advantage ng Cavs at sa tingin ko kailangan lang mag step up ang laro ni Lebron james at kasamahan niya para manalo. Why don't you and Tim Duncan get a room? Admittedly, the Spurs are a way stronger team compared to the Cavaliers and it is very obvious that you are partial towards the San Antonio Spurs. I’m still surprised that you haven’t used the idiotic term you came up years back about Tim Duncan being a “Point Forward” lol! Vito Lazatin could have done a way better job than you. His (Vito) opinions are based on stats and very intelligent. He also has superior communication skills compared to you. I agree on you that lebron James shouldn't be compare to Micheal Jordan because they had own identity.And you're absolutely right.that Micheal Jordan's first comeback from retirement led the Bulls in 3-pet NBA Championship.and then he announce his retirement for the second time. and then he return again, spend a two season with a wizards Uniform. But you know what..I couldn't remember the Wizards reach .500% of winning during the 2 season of MJ in the Team..maybe they reach that in the first 2 months of the season. But if you make some RESEARCH in NBA History, the WIZARDS with your Micheal Jordan never reach the .500% of winning at the end of the season in both 2 years that MJ spend in Wizards. and of course they never reach a playoff that time. Peace Brothers...I've watched NBA since the Celtics/Lakers era until today and I've seen many changes in style of playing, from defense to offense to strategies and game plans of the coaches...Now on the Spurs/Cavs series, the experienced team always have the advantages, and that exactly what the Spurs are doing as their game plan...basic basketball is what they are doing right now and it's killing the Cavs. This is schooling for the Cavs as the Spurs are taking them back to oldschool of basketball...King James didn't bother at all coz he reached the finals and just like the Spurs, he is gaining experiences but that's all he might got in this series...Now is just a matter of time for the Spurs on their way to their 4th NBA ring and trophy. Too much hype. too much expectation for Lebron James, i think he's a newbie...he's not that good compare to other greatness namely his airness MJ (michael jordan). The spurs were so boring to watch but the game is basketball which is a team game, compare to what the cavaliers doing they've wanted Lebron James to play that he can't even do and cavaliers have a poor playing strategies compare to what greg popovich and company's doing. Just what i've said, Lebron James and the cav's were newsbie and unmatched with the strong, composed and experience San Antonio Spurs.The "three king's" of Spurs share the ball and score to win a championship that's make a big difference for Cleveland Cavaliers.
That's why the game produce a lowest rating because everyone new and expected that the Spurs will be the winner of the seies, oh! i forgot there wasn't any series at all. Lebron problem was the same problem with Wade in last year's NBA finals. They let their opponent to dictate the game. Yung kumpyansa ni Lebron olats.. ayaw tumira ng 3 points kahit alanganin... The same with Wade last year.. I think what CAV's should do is play the finals as it is they are playing the elimination round. Remember lamang ang cavs sa spurs during elimination round.. I still believe that CAVS will still win atleast 2 games..

Anyway yesterday was crucial for the cavs, now they're down 3-0. No way they can come back. All lebron and the gang has to do is to avoid being sweep. But you cant blame CAVS.. When we say jordans'greatness its the ability to take over games, to believe he can conquer and carry his team.. that kind of greatness is what I think mj has. Pag nanalo ang Spurs mamayang gabi makukuha na ni Robert Horry yung 7th ring niya.I don't think susuko na agad ang Cleveland since nakataya na yung pride nila dahil umaasa yung mga taga-Ohio na manalo sila sa series na eto. 37th year na silang naghihintay na at least makarating yung isang major sport team nila sa Finals.Kung matalo man sila nagkaroon naman sila ng experience na pede nilang gamitin next season.

cavs has only one superstar + the supporting cast and they made it to finals.. bravo cavaliers Lebron James doesn't proved anything at all he didn't take the Cavs in the finals, he was struggling to beat the Detroit Pistons and the guy who should have been given the credit is Mr.Gibson. Lebron is still Struggling to beat the Spurs but doesn't mean they've going to beat San Antonio.All cav's Fans must be thankful to Mr.Gibson, Cavaliers were lucky enough to beat the Pistons in East Finals series. Luck took the Cleveland Cavaliers teams in the finals not Lebron James. they call the "witness" to witness the fall of Cleveland Cavaliers.
Why Lebron afraid to take the 3 point shot? because he didn't want to be blamed of why his team loss the game. Why he took the shot,when the time started to expire in the 4th quarter? because he wanted the world to know that he is the star and the hero of the game. Richard, Obviously you did not watch the entire playoffs or even the post season. Why take away what lebron did to his team? are you a hater? lebron has averaged 27-7-7 in the post season and has carried his team to 50 wins.

IF they have the chance to get this two veteran players, championship might be possible for the cav's. Houston Rockets able to acquire Ron Artest, he will contribute more on defense and shooting. The new acquired coach Rick Adelman likes to put the team in a run and gun play like the Phoenix Suns, hoping that Adelman will take the Rockets in much higher level of playing than coach Jeff Van Gundy did. Guessing that the Portland Trailblazer will likely to draft for the first pick is Greg Oden of Ohio St. because of his strength, size and ability to rebound and protect the basket(shot blocker). Kevin Durant is much more athletic and better shooter averaging 25.8 points and averaging 11.1 rebounds than Oden. The frustrated Boston Celtics will get the no.5 pick and Memphis Grizzlies will get the no.4 pick. Oh well! lets just wait till the draft day comes who's going to be the no.1 pick of 2007. Philippines players don't have the height plus Shooter. but RP team were much faster than China team the only difference is the height. Shooter will change the game but RP team is athletic team there's a chance RP can play in Beijing, let's just hope RP team stay healthy and keep winning to their pursued to play in Beijing. RP team is known to their unselfish play.
